Book Description:

The Mindful Self Compassion

by Maureen Adamz, The Mindful Self Compassion Book available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download The Mindful Self Compassion books, Look around today, and it's evident that the world could use a little bit of compassion. Scratch that. Lots of it! Almost everyone you know or run into is living through suffering; self-inflicted pain and suffering. Everyone's hurting and hurting badly. And you know what they say -- "Hurt people hurt people." That may be cliché, but it's the honest truth. Perhaps you can relate deeply to what I'm saying. I'm going to make an assumption that you're reading this because you're tired. You're tired of beating yourself up. You're tired of blaming yourself for things you know logically weren't even your fault. You're sick of that nagging little voice in your head. You know the one. It tells you you're not good enough. Not pretty enough. Not smart enough. You are bombarded day in, day out, with vitriol from that mean little voice in your head. Constantly, you doubt yourself. You think you're worth nothing. Even when you're well-loved and adored, and when people acknowledge your unique talents and abilities, there's that little voice again. It tells you you're an impostor. It asks you how you would dare to think you deserve to be loved. How dare you assume you're worth a raise? What makes you think you deserve a loving relationship? How dare you be happy or even aspire to happiness? I've written this book because I've been there before. This is personal for me. It was and continues to be a tough fight. But I know for a fact that it's possible to overcome that voice in your head. I'm going to give you the insights and tools you need in order to be nicer to yourself. You can be kind to yourself, too. You deserve it! If you understand innately that it's good to be kind and compassionate with others, then you should know this: you deserve the same treatment from you. The truth of the matter is that you just can't give what you don't have. You could try. Sure. But over time, you will be worn down from all the times you've beaten yourself up. I want you to learn that you can actually set firm boundaries for yourself. You can decide now, to stop giving in to those thoughts, situations, and people who cause you to be anything but compassionate to yourself. Self-compassion is so important. It's the way you get to grow and expand. Constantly dwelling in guilt and shame keeps you small. Your life stays the same, at best. At worst, you continue on a downward spiral to depression, feelings of worthlessness, and suicidal impulses. If you're going to grow in mind and spirit, if you're going to be fulfilled in all aspects of your life, then you need to learn self-compassion. You need to become the Picasso of the art of going easy on yourself. When you make self-compassion a part of your life, then you'll find yourself attaining your goals easier. You'll find it's easier to make the changes that you know you need to. You'll become a more rounded, self-actualized person. This is what I desire for you.
